斯派莎克觀視鏡可提供不同的材質和連接方式，能廣泛地應用于蒸汽系統(tǒng)及其它工業(yè)液體系統(tǒng)中。將一個斯派莎克觀視鏡固定地安裝在蒸汽疏水閥下游，就可以檢測疏水閥是否正常工作。當數(shù)個疏水閥集中排放到一個封閉的冷凝水回收系統(tǒng)中時，觀視鏡可方便的用于檢驗每個疏水閥的工作情況。
此外，觀視鏡還可以提供有關蒸汽系統(tǒng)其它方面的情況。例如觀視鏡玻璃如有同體沉淀物而變得模糊，可判斷蒸汽中含有游離的氧和二氧化碳，因而引起凝結水管的腐蝕，也可判斷鍋爐給水中有機物沉淀。
